It's Monday so we must be in Tasmania - flight from melbourne at 14.55 and after a rather shorter 1 hour flight we arrived in Hobart ;-great statue in airport of Tasmanian devils- we were met at airport by Michelle and on way to Hobart drove over Tasman bridge over river Derwent and an amazing sight -hobart is a beautiful city with mount Wellington as a beautiful backdrop many tourist attractions are near by such as port Arthur and Richmond where you can find out much about Tasmania's convict past. Anyway after a quick pit stop Gill and I had been invited to the local trefoil guild meeting by Michelle's mum and we enjoyed a very tasty meal cooked by the men's shed members and participated in the meeting with notes being compared on guiding in the UK -it was a really interesting evening and after a long day we headed to bed ready to see what the next day brings
